Been Awhile

Okay - its been forever since i updated this and between work and both 2 new things I've taken on as responsibilities this blog hit the back burner. Work has been very busy i was informed yesterday i have 10 orders to fulfill and thats super exciting since we haven't even released the whole website yet! I've also started helping out at my church "Living Waters" I will be doing the Post production of the services, and I'm also involved with setting it up correctly since i am the only one with professional experience in this field. Although i do have to say its tough to work with someone who has no experience. Someone who reads something is different from someone who's experienced something. But only god knows and he will lead us in the right direction. I am very excited to be making DVDs for them though.

And finally I've been very interested in this girl and she's pretty much the best thing thats happened to me since sliced bread :) I could go on and on for hours about how amazing i think she is - but I'll save you the reading. I'm very excited to hang out with her saturday!

Another good one

Today was just incredible - they say when you are closer to god, life gets better in all ways and i now now for a fact it is true. I've haven't been praying to him every night but i have been thankful and i think he knows that - Every opportunity i get i will say thanks, like yesterday at the show in the middle of my performing i said thanks. A lot of things in my life are going perfectly and i know its thanks to him. He wanted me to become closer to him and the only way to do that was to shake up my life - and I'm glad he did. I am really finding a path to something amazing and i cant wait to find out where it leads to - maybe it will lead directly to god himself. I've been very discrete on details on this topic and I'm not ready just yet to reveal it all. So all I'm going to say is - She's Amazing. But today I had work at 8am-11am where i ran the front counter at ABD, after work I hung out with Fellini and headed up to burton to check out some snowboard gear. I found boots, board, and bindings, for just $420.00 which is an incredible deal. I also found out i might be getting the IPhone for christmas which is even more exciting! I hope everything goes to plan - and darn i still can't figure out what gift i should give someone...

Simply Amazing

Today was the day of the ever so stressful Black Belt Extravaganza Show and my job was to make the video and sound of my videos work through independent speakers on my side of the auditorium. But lets do some background first, School was pretty boring just normal classes really - except in Science where i fell asleep due to talking to Miss Sarah last night until 12:30AM (so worth it though) So Karate Came and at 3PM i had a meeting with Master Garcia about the show and how it would be ran - 2 and a half hours later I'm at the North High School trying to make everything work desperately! But in the end the show ran perfectly minus a few mistakes but thats okay we now know better for next time. After the graduation, Sarah, Liz, Matt, Fellini and I went out for dinner to Piccadilly Pub. The Ride there was pretty funny trying to fit 5 people into a 4 person car - Sarah Ended up on my lap and Fellini ended up in the front seat (haha) At Piccadilly it was pretty awesome, Sarah Sat next to me with Fellini to my right and opposite Sarah and I sat Liz and Matt. Dinner was definitely an experience although every day with Liz is an Experience unfortunately she didn't feel good so i look forward to next time when she'll be in full health. Matt and Liz ordered the same dish while Sarah and I Split a basket of Chicken Fingers and Fries - For some reason i wasn't that hungry must have been nerves. After Dinner Sarah wanted a piece of Peanut Butter Pie/cake and Matt and Fellini got some kind of brownie thinger - After Desert the tap came to a little over 70$ so i allowed Fellini and Matt to chip in 10$ each and i fit the rest of the bill including the tip, Plus the waitress was funny and i give her credit for putting up with us so late so i gave her a 25% tip. Sarahs Parents were waiting for her outside so i got an amazing hug and walked her to her car to properly introduce myself - which of corse i had to re-explain why i would let Sarah Pay which they attempted to give me money which i of corse refused. Shook both there hands and they went on there way. We waiting with Liz and her Mom while we waited for Matts dad to come get him and after Liz's mom drove us home. An awesome end to an incredible day!!

Fightttt

Today was pretty simple, which school is just starting to become a blur with how normal and similar all the days are. After school i had work which is the final day before the black belt extravaganza which should go off without a hook - i downloaded and processed the videos that were on my to-do list for the show. After work we had class and Liz, Sarah, and Matt were all here. Liz ended up being my partner for the cardio work out and Sarah, Liz, Alexis, and I were partners for fighting. Liz is a really good fighter she just is a very emotional fighter and doesn't like to be hit which granted i don't either but i try not to get to upset and seek revenge :) Sarah is a very skilled fighter waiting for her openings, she isn't afraid to go toe to toe with me although i think she would rather not for other reasons. Alexis is very good at combinations and putting moved together - she just is not a very aggressive fighter, i think if she built some confidence in her abilities she would be very good in the super light weight division in the ring.

Class was Awesome! and of corse my day would not be perfect without a hug!

Half Day

Ahhh - gotta love half days in school, we got out at 11am today which was a very nice change. Although it was pouring out and i had to walk home, i had a good time smiling and singing on my way. At home i really didn't do much except plan for Summer 2010 road trip which is leading me ALL OVER the place - and I'm wicked excited and pray to god that i can do it, I'm determined to. Grams showed up today and drove me to deposit some money into the bank which i desperately needed to do after my $500 shopping spree i did by accident -Oops. They got my wendys and then they headed home. at 3 i had my driving lesson and i had a new lady - she was pretty fun and instead of just driving around she challenged me with some 3 point turns and a few parallel parking drills. After i got home i pretty much just hung out did some simple editing.

And what's wicked exciting 2 things actually -

#1. I'm getting Final Cut Studio 2 FOR FREE! a normally 2,000 dollar program FREE!

#2. the thing I've really been stressing out about is looking to a sunny sky today despite a rain shower today I think its finally clearing up - only time will tell.

Bumpy Road

Sometimes the road your on is under construction with bumps and road blocks and the challenge is to continue on and reach the goal which ever your goal may be in this case I'm referring to God. But back to my day, Once more another normal day in the life of Mike. School was the same minus getting a 29 on a project... which upsets me because my friend (we copied each other) we literally had the same report just different hand writing, and he scored a 61. Which makes me assume he just doesn't like me. Tomorrow how ever is a half day so i get to leave school at 11am and hopefully if all goes well i can head to the outlets and check out some snowboard gear and get the stuff i need! Karate was awesome today i finished a portion of the Black Belt Movie - and despite me not being allowed to create an official DVD of the test I'm going to anyway knowing he will like the idea once its completed. I think the testers deserve to have the memories, even if I'm not getting paid for the 30+ hours i put into it. Class rocked i was partnered with Sarah and unfortunately i think i pushed her a little to hard which was a mistake on my part - I believe she could have kept up and done the work but it was just uncalled for and i should have thought it more out. Good workout though i hope to be sore tomorrow.

I just hope the issue bothering me either gets better or disperse I have never silently wanted something so bad. Only god knows... Right?

Average

Today was pretty average, Woke up, school, and a driving lesson which i got to drive on the highway which was pretty intense. Karate was pretty simple too put all the footage onto the my office Mac so i can edit it in the future since we are not putting together an official Black Belt DVD this rotation - I hope we do one next cycle. I just finished watching Hitman, although there is a lot of nudity through the movie i found it to be a decent film with a very well put together story line and the action sequences were great! 

Black Belt Testing - Day Two

Today was amazing, even though i had to wake up at 7:00AM for the 2nd day in a row on my weekend it was well worth it. Today was day two of the black belt test for the people going for 2nd degree and higher, among the testees was Mr. Cole, Mr. Boutin, Mr. Pulsone, Sensei Tiano, and Sensei Thivierge. I was picked up at my house at 8:00AM by Dan and we headed out into rahobeth to meet up with the rest of the crew, Once at Dunkin Donuts we got organized and headed out for the test site - a 30 minute drive lead us into Barington Rhode Island and the test began. We took up positions in the woods along a 1 mile path that rode along side a lake, Station One was what we came to call the hill an intense drill involving going up and down a hill while avoiding being dragged down the hill or into the lake itself. Station Two was gun defense where they were violently attacked with people with fake guns but the realism was still there. Station Three was the bridge - you crossed a 2 foot bridge over a river and at the other side was someone there waiting to test your knowledge of the chokes defenses. Station Four was stick defense where a group of people rushed in and basically beat you with sticks if you failed to defend yourself. Fifth was knife defense where again another group of people battered you with quick knifes and you were forced to defend yourself. And finally the last station (which you had to sprint too) was a cardio station and you had to do a series of jumps and push ups over obstacles and such. My job through this portion of the test was filming, so with my luck i had to run with everyone else through all the stations to get the footage so in total i ran this corse 3 times. After we finished filming and this test (3 hours later) we mounted back into the cars and shipped the instructors to there final leg of there test - we headed out to Tim Goulets Martial Arts School for Ultimate Fighting. Tim a once professional fighter now trains fighters to compete nationally and professionally. Our instructors were pretty much beat by tim and his extreme excersises and fighting. Once exercise included being strapped to a tire and running the length of his school (which was pretty large) After running the length 6 times they had to do it once more but adding punches to pads chasing tim. And to add even more they had to do three 5 minute fights. Crazy Stuff. I just finished uploading the footage, took over 3 hours. psh. I'm Heading to bed!! IM BEAT

Black Belt Testing - Day One

Today was pretty crazy, i woke up at 7:00AM got dressed yada yada yada and left my house at 8:ooAM to head to ABD for the black belt testing and filming of it. After i got there i got a lot of work done during the duration of the first test (it wasn't filmed) I ordered the black belts, and finished editing the footage i shot of fridays filming. The first test was about 3 hours along taking from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. After the 1st test was over, Master Garcia, Master Lima, and I went out for lunch at box seats. After lunch we hit the dojo again for some more intense testing this time the 2nd test (people going for 1st degrees or higher) was to be filmed. It was crazy thank god forest rudios dad showed up with his humungo camera and wanted to do some filming which i didn't mind the help at all. The 2nd test went from 3:00PM until around 9:00PM it was extremely long - but hey i got to hang out with Sarah and Liz which definitely made my day even better! Tomorrow theres even more filming to be done for part two of the 2nd test where, Mr. Cole, Cameron Boutin, Sensei Tiano, Sensei Thivierge, and Mr. Pulsone go at it to get there degrees!

Fake it till ya Make it

yeah so i missed yesterdays blog entry because i fell asleep so I'm going to try to stay on top of it better.

Today, today was okay really it was good but my current mood is pulling it down - just stinks when you get your hopes up for something and then clouds cover the sky if you know what i mean. Other then that school was good - i had to do the charleston in front of my english class, ill post that video later. And work was good my boss was a little late but after he showed up it went pretty smooth we filmed a mock martial arts class for a new product for M.A.F.E.

Also Whale Wars tonight was a pretty low key show wasn't as energetic as it usually is and they were faced with a lot of challenges this episode with engine trouble and crew trouble i hope Dave and Potsey stay they were like my favorite of the crew.

but to comment on my mood - as Garcia would say just "Fake it till ya make it"

2 In a Row!

Today simple rocked! I'm not sure what happened today but everything seemed to just fall into place. Although the schedule of my classes today was all messed up and the school day seemed to take forever it was well worth it, i felt as if a issue that popped up yesterday was resolved on my part with is a huge plus since i dislike having a black cloud over my head! I had another driving lesson today - but these things are more or less me sitting and driving as the instructor just watches, kinda fun sometimes. today she had me drive an hour just to pick someone up, and then have the kid drive me home once i got him super easy. Not to mention i got some wicked exciting news about something i hope goes really well in my life! I'm being secretive about it but i have a good feeling about this - gosh i hope i don't mess it up.

Tomorrow i have work from 3-7 and then class at 7 i can't wait class is going to rizokk! (rock)

Rockn' & Sockn'

Today was a pretty good day :) not going to lie some rough spots here and there with people but hey they keep life exciting right? Overall it was pretty basic - school, and karate. But the cool part was I was informed today that i am in fact Filming the Black Belt Test saturday - not for a DVD but for a highlight reel, I'm also being permitted to film the 2nd and higher degree tests which has never been done before! And to get to the even cooler stuff I'm co-creating the black belt graduation. Me and Dan Clark are making it happen and its a full out show definitely one you wish you could go to. Lights, Videos, Music, Camera, exciting stuff!!

oh back to why i titled this what i titled it - I came back to class for the first time in 3 weeks, it was amazing I really forgot how much i loved martial arts and today was a great reminder of why I'm so involved with it Thursdays my next class, not to mention there is a little more of why i like taking class if you know what i mean ;) but its my secret.

Can't wait for tmro i got a driving lesson!
